Ocean Diver

Ocean diver is the first stage in the BSAC system . It is on an equivalent level to PADI Open Water Diver and PADI Advanced Open Water or CMAS One Star Diver. In this diving course you will learn all about the undersea environment, your equipment and how to use it first in a swimming pool, then in open water. The ocean diver course is split into seven theory classes, five pool sessions and five open water dives.

At the end of the course you will be qualified to dive with another sports diver or ocean diver at the depth and in the circumstances that you have already been familiarised with. Divers at this level can dive to a maximum of 20 metres. Ocean divers cannot be paired with trainee divers, nor can they take part in decompression stops.
